Job Details:
Instrumentation Engineer – EPC background
- Provide specialist input and guidance on all instrument related aspects of process design
- Read, understand, and evaluate specifications and requirements.
- Produce instrument schedules from existing P&I diagrams
- Preparation and review of instrument data sheets for Pressure, Temperature, Control Valves, Flowmeters, Level etc
- Is able to perform and review calculations for control valves, safety relief valves and orifices
- review of ITB and scope, preparation & review of documents & drawings like IO list, System architecture, Material Requisitions, Instrumentation Index, Cause and Effect Matrix, scope of work, Functional and technical specification.
- Review loop drawings, vendor drawing review, etc
- Contributes in LOPA/HAZOP and SIL meetings
- Evaluate quotations for instrumentation and prepare TBE.
- Attend and report on testing of instruments
- Reviews auxiliary equipment and instrumentation systems quotations
- Design of instrumentation, control / safeguarding on P&ID basis and scope descriptions.
- Capable to select the correct process controls, safeguarding system arrangement of the scope items, in line with the specific requirements
- Contributes in HAZOP and SIL review meetings
- Evaluate quotations for control / safeguarding systems.
- Attend and report on testing of control / safeguarding systems
Skills:
• 3-15 years of industry experience as a process, instrument & process control engineer in EPC industry.
• Skilled in MS Word, Excel and Power Point
• Skilled in SPI Intools Engineer level.
• Experience with the use of general application software for process design and process controls
• Experience with the use of an Instrument Database application
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including ability to communicate fluently in English
• Willing and able to travel (domestic & international) for business trips, meetings or training
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Knowledge of process and systems design tools and procedures
• Strong drive to innovate
• Must be able to work in a dynamic, multi-national and multi-cultural environment as a great team player.
